Class overview
Go behind the scenes of one of Southern California’s most ambitious mixed-use developments with the design teams helping bring OC!Vibe to life. This panel discussion brings together architects, lighting designers, and project leaders to share the vision, collaboration, and decision-making behind a project of this scale.
Attendees will gain firsthand insight into the design process, interdisciplinary coordination, and real-world challenges encountered throughout the project. Through candid discussion and project examples, the panel will share lessons learned, best practices, and practical advice that design professionals can apply to complex projects of their own.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the collaborative design process behind a large-scale, multidisciplinary development.Identify best practices for coordinating architecture, lighting, engineering, and other project stakeholders throughout design and construction.
- Recognize common challenges encountered on complex projects and evaluate strategies used to overcome them.
- Explore how design vision, client goals, and technical requirements are balanced throughout the life of a project.
- Apply lessons learned from the OC!Vibe project to improve communication, coordination, and decision-making on future projects.
